KenStarrrz Viral Actor, Comedian, & Music Artist Hosts Star Studded Cinco De Mayo Party

Wednesday May 5, 2021 in Newark, New Jersey at Little Tijuana Restaurant, it was the setting for a Star studded Cinco De Mayo Celebration of the Century. Abiding by all COVID regulations, the line of patrons waiting to get inside Little Tijuana to enjoy the food, music and the celebrity guests was wrapped around the block. The celebration was hosted by none other than Instagram Comedian and Actor Ken Starrrz with music spun by legendary DJs — DJ Spin King, Funk Flex, Bobby Trends, Frankie, Lifestyle, Krebeatz, Fastlife and Blue Diamond. Little Tijuana, a Restaurant, Margarita Bar and Lounge went above and beyond to bring the Mexican holiday — known as Cinco De Mayo to life. The Newark Restaurant which is owned by local residents -brother/ sister team Jessica & Rafael Perez launched the restaurant in March 2021 and features Mexican décor designed by @MsSilka, including hundreds of authentic sombreros throughout the establishment. Rafael told me that he opened the restaurant with his sister in the city that he was born and raised in because he wanted to bring something new to the city that they are so proud to represent.

The Special Cinco De Mayo menu of Margaritas and Mexican food were top notch while the service was beyond impeccable. At any given time during the night, owner Rafael could be seen approaching tables of patrons to make sure that everyone was happy and having a great time.

While Rafael made sure the guests were happy, the host of the night Ken Starrrz was spotted throughout the restaurant greeting, talking to and taking photos with guests. Ken- known for his hilarious skits and movie roles drew up the hype up for the celebrity event by creating a promotional skit days before. In the skit, which is more like a commercial- Ken takes his date to the Mexican themed lounge and in true Ken Starrrz fashion- goes above and beyond to ensure that his blonde date was having a great time only for her to get picked up by a car in the end driven by her boyfriend. The skit went viral, pulling in almost 150k views in less than 24 hours and helped sell out the Cinco De Mayo party. During the event I had the pleasure to speak with Ken Starrrz as I was curious how he felt about the success of his Cinco De Mayo skit which ultimately called out the city and how he felt about hosting the Cinco event of the century. Ken told me “Like everything I do, I do it Big. Go Big or Go Home. Nah — but really, I’m thankful we can all be back outside together and enjoy a holiday. With that being said IT’S TIME TO PARTY….YOU HEA ME BAYBEE!”

This isn’t the first time Ken Starrrz, a viral sensation almost shut down the city. He is no stranger to hosting major events across the map and being part of breaking the internet as well as the big screen. Ken Starrrz, who won Best Content Creator at the Official Latino Film Festival has been featured on some of the internet’s biggest outlets such as: WorldstarHipHop, TMZ, Mediatakeout, Hollywood Unlocked, Funny Hood Videos and more. He was a cast member on Season 12 of MTV’s Wild n’ Out and BET’s Too Grown Series. Ken Starrrz has hosted Hot 97’s WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR SUMMER JAM TICKETS, Soulfrito’s Music Fest at the Barclays Center, VIP events with Uncle Murda & Maino, The Funk Flex’s Car Show, a number of VIP Cannabis event’s including one with Iconic WHOOPTY rapper CJ headlining, a 3 day Multi City tour with Noreaga and many, many more. This year we can expect to see Ken on the Big Screen alongside the late Pop Smoke as actor in the upcoming film entitled BOOGIE.
